CobolCopilot is building language models that help the world’s largest banks and fintechs make sense of their legacy COBOL systems. Over 30,000 enterprises collectively rely on over 800B lines of COBOL code, and yet it’s nearly impossible to hire a COBOL developer (the average COBOL dev age is almost 60!).

As a Founding AI Engineer at CobolCopilot, you’ll be responsible for our AI-powered code understanding and code generation products. These include:

• Documentation: reverse engineers millions of lines of code in minutes
• Search: semantic search against COBOL syntax/business logic
• Synthesis: codegen that’s personalized to a customer’s codebase

The work involves engineering prompting pipelines, fine-tuning models, building custom evals, and deploying into complex enterprise environments.

What you bring

• Practical experience building products powered by LLMs
